• HR Recruitment team at the Tulsa School Job Fair!

  Our HR Recruitment Team attended the Tulsa School Job Fair, where they met with over 40 students that were eager in exploring career opportunities in HVAC, Electrical, and Journeyman trades.

• On-Campus Mammography Screenings!

  During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HR POWER UP Employee Wellness hosted The Rose to provide on-campus mammography screenings for eligible employees. This year a total of 57 registered to receive 3D mammography exams during a two day screening blitz.  Each year more and more women avail themselves of this annual onsite service.

• UH Day at the Corp 5k!

  HR along with over 100 UH Faculty & Staff came together to participate as Team UH for "UH Day at the Corp 5k." This year, thanks to Team UH members, the University won the Top Participating Education Company Award! Coordinated by the HR POWER UP Employee Wellness, 2024 marks the 8th consecutive year the University has participated in this fun annual employee wellness event!

• 2024 HR Annual Retirement Seminar!

  Human Resources hosted its annual TRS and ERS retirement seminars for Faculty and Staff. We are thrilled to report that this year’s annual retirement seminar was a huge success! This conveys the excitement Faculty & Staff had about the in-person engagement and educational opportunity.

• 2024 CUPA-HR Annual Conference and Expo!

  We’re excited to share that our Human Resources Executive team recently participated in the 2024 CUPA-HR Annual Conference and Expo! They presented to a large audience of higher education HR professionals on the topic of "Using AI to Create Professional Development Content." The session showcased an innovative approach to integrating AI tools into learning and development programs, specifically highlighting how UH leverages AI to design and deliver training videos for busy staff and executives. This dynamic presentation emphasized the importance of accessible training solutions in today’s fast-paced environment.

• HR's Impact on Student Success!

  The Talent Development team has been going beyond staff professional development, and helping our students get a head start on their interpersonal communication skills. Senior Talent Development Specialist Vivian LoDuca has been offering one-hour DISC workshops to Student Ambassadors every semester since spring of 2022. During these meetings, students learn about their own communication style, as well as how to tailor their styles to communicate more effectively.  Go Coogs!
