Dr. Jill Yamasaki has been appointed a senior editor of the peer-reviewed academic journal Health Communication. She will be responsible for soliciting reviews and making all editorial decisions for the journal's popular Defining Moments section.
In line with Jill's record of research, Defining Moments showcases storytelling that moves between personal experiences and wide-reaching concerns through peer-reviewed narratives, essays, and articles by healthcare scholars, providers, activists and recipients.Jill has been a member of the journal's editorial board since 2010.
Established in 1989, Health Communication is the first peer-reviewed academic journal focused on health communication. Under the direction of Dr. Teresa Thompson, editor-in-chief, it publishes 12 issues per year and has an impact factor of 1.967.
