The Department of Modern and Classical Languages offers Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Studies, French, and World Cultures and Literature (with concentrations in Ancient Studies, Francophone Cultures Studies, German Studies, Global Cinema Studies, Global Modernity Studies, Italian Studies, and Middle Eastern Studies). The MCL Department also offers minors in Classical Studies, Jewish Studies, and India Studies (including Tamil Studies), as well as minors and/or language instruction in Ancient Greek, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, and Vietnamese.
