Biographical Summary
Boris Shor is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston. Previously, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Government at Georgetown University. In 2011-2013, he was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar in Health Policy, located at the University of California, Berkeley. Before that, he was Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago. He earned his Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University. His research interests include legislative institutions, ideology, political parties, and polarization often but not exclusively at the state level. He has specific policy interests in health care and policy reform.Education
