The Fire and Life Safety office is offering American Heart Association Heart Saver
CPR/AED training to all interested UH employees. CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure
performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple the chances
of survival after a cardiac arrest. The CPR/AED training course is instructor-led
and will be provided in an in-person classroom setting. This highly interactive course
is offered at no cost to UH employees.
The course lasts approximately four hours and requires an in-person skills session
to demonstrate participants’ ability to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac
emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, an American Heart Association
Heart Saver CPR/AED certification will be awarded and valid for two years. This course
will be offered twice a month at the Central Campus and monthly at the Sugar Land
Campus. If you are interested in taking the class, please visit:
