The Houston Early Research Experience is a two-week research program in May for rising
sophomores and juniors. Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of conducting
research.
The Houston Scholars is a competitive program for high-achieving freshmen and sophomores
to receive mentorship and scholarship funding to pursue research, internships, and
other distinctive experiential learning opportunities.
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship provides funding for rising sophomores,
juniors, and seniors to participate in a focused 10-week research experience under
the direction of UH faculty.
The Provost's Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program provides students the opportunity
to participate in a part-time research project under the direction of a UH faculty
mentor during the fall or spring semester.
Research for Aspiring Coogs in the Humanities provides a year-long introductory research
experience for students in humanities disciplines by connecting them to existing undergraduate
research projects at the University of Houston.
The Mellon Research Scholars program provides a faculty-mentored opportunity for underrepresented
students to conduct research in the humanities. Participants also benefit from lecture
series and workshops.
The Energy Scholars Program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to work
on a year-long, energy-related research project under the direction of a UH faculty
mentor.
FrameWorks is a year-long program where students research, present and publish critical
essays on the interdisciplinary humanities under a guided process with faculty and
peer support.
