Our UH Cougars won a momentous 29 – 28 victory on Saturday night against Texas Tech, and today, the rankings place your University of Houston at #12! What a tremendous achievement – Top Tier in the rankings for nationally competitive athletics programs!

Congratulations to our outstanding coach, Kevin Sumlin, and our incredible team of student athletes who have given us all an inspiring example of what talent, commitment and hard work can accomplish.

From my very first days here at UH, I’ve consistently said that moving UH into the ranks of the nation’s preeminent research universities would require support from all of you -- from our alumni, our community, our legislative leaders and those who teach, work  and learn here.

We share this victory with all of you!

Our success on the playing field is just one of many triumphs of a university on the move! UH is making tremendous progress in energy, health, the arts and student success. Our televised victory over Texas Tech has prompted many to take a closer look at UH.  Are you ready to step up and back a winner?

We need your support to continue our momentum toward Top Tier. Your university has reached a defining moment in its quest for greatness. Our time is NOW.
