Kia Batiste is a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families across residential, school-based, and private practice settings. She is experienced in providing individual and group counseling, workshops, and consultations, all aimed at promoting student well-being and academic success.

 

Kia creates a safe, affirming space where students feel seen and supported. Her clinical approach is relaxed yet relational and grounded in cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed care. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based interventions, solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness practices, she supports clients navigating a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and interpersonal concerns.

 

Deeply passionate about fostering belonging in academic environments, Kia is committed to advocacy, mental health education, community empowerment, and expanding access to mental health resources.

 

Outside of her professional work, Kia enjoys traveling, playing tennis, keeping up with the WNBA, baking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
