The Faculty Senate Community and Government Relations Committee (CGRC) invites you to attend the 2018-2019 Assistant Professor Excellence Speaker Series (APeX), featuring Dr. Elizabeth Farfán-Santos, assistant professor of anthropology in the UH Department of Comparative Cultural Studies.
During the APeX Speaker Series event, Dr. Farfán-Santos will discuss the impact of political exclusion and alienating discourses on the health practices and beliefs of undocumented Mexican mothers through the narrative of mothers in Houston, who find themselves at the painful intersection of political and medical alienation.
