Health Professions Student Organizations
The University of Houston offers a variety of student organizations in which you can get involved. Joining a student organization provides you the opportunity to attend meetings, participate in events, and potentially gain leadership experience.
Keep in mind that you are not obligated to join a health professions student organization. Instead, our office encourages you to engage any activities in which you have an interest, even if the organization is not directly related to healthcare or medicine. These could be service organizations, honor societies, Greek fraternities/sororities, or clubs devoted to specific hobbies or extracurricular activities.
