Opportunities to Connect With Our Students

Here are some ways you can build upon our college-employer partnership, while getting
to know our students. The more students and employers learn about each other, the
better odds of finding the “perfect match” for both parties! All events are held at
Hilton College, which is part of the Hilton University of Houston. All services, with the exception of Career Fair and Mini Career Fair, are offered
free of charge.
HIRE HILTON COLLEGE
By posting your employment and internship positions on Hire Hilton College, our students
and alumni can learn more about your company. Your posts also allow you to put your
jobs in front of hundreds of potential qualified candidates. There is no limit to
the number of positions employers/companies can submit. Once you register, just “select
jobs” and add “new” to begin posting your positions.
Once a job posting has been submitted, we will review it. Most jobs are approved and available on the Hire Hilton College job boards within 24 business hours.

CAREER FAIRS
Mini Career Fair is typically held the first few weeks of each semester. This event is less formal
than our biannual Career Fair, but is still a great opportunity for you to establish
and build a presence on campus. Held in our South Wing student lobby, there are usually
between 100 and 200 students who attend these mini fairs in between classes.
Career Fair takes place in October during the fall semester and in February during the spring. Held on a Thursday, Career Fair runs from 9:15 a.m. until noon, and is followed by a luncheon with a keynote speaker from 12:30 to 2 p.m. We also offer you the option to conduct same-day, on-campus interviews that afternoon or anytime the following day (Friday). In the fall, we also incorporate employer information sessions into our Industry Think Tank sessions, which are held on the Tuesday and Wednesday of Career Fair week.
EMPLOYER SPOTLIGHT DAY
Employer Spotlight Day is the time for you to reserve a table in our South Wing student
lobby. In this casual, relaxed setting, you can share employment information with
students coming and going from class and gain extra exposure for your company. If
you are interested in reserving a table, we do request that you schedule this off-cycle
recruiting event two weeks prior to the date you’d like to attend. This gives our
Career Development team enough time to properly market your company to our students.
We promote your attendance through announcements on Hire Hilton College, student ListServs,
Facebook and flyers. We encourage you to forward your company logo as a jpeg for to
us to include in our marketing flyers.
Availability – During both the fall and spring semesters, off-cycle recruiting options are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Student traffic is best between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., but we are happy to accommodate your specific needs and can be flexible with this schedule. Please check out our Employer Spotlight calendar and select a date that works best for you!
NOTE: Student attendance for our off-cycle recruiting events can be unpredictable. Since many of our students are nervous about approaching an employer and initiating a conversation, we recommend that you engage them as they pass by your table.
GUEST SPEAKING
If you are interested in guest lecturing as an industry expert for one of our classes,
we are happy to add you to our list of potential speakers. Before the beginning of
every semester, we send a list of names – along with subject matters – to our faculty
for them to consider. If you are a good fit, they can add you to their class syllabus
as a guest speaker.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Hilton College has 14 student organizations dedicated to the various segments of the
hospitality industry. Connecting with these student organizations can be a great way
to target students according to their interests, and introduce you to many of our
student leaders. For a complete list of our student orgs and their faculty advisors,

Thank you for reaching out and connecting with our students!
