Co-author of Marketing for Hospitality and Tourism, the leading hospitality-marketing textbook in the world currently published in nine
languages; three-time recipient of CHRIE's (Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional
Education) Wiley Research Award, which recognizes lifetime research achievements in
hospitality; industry experience in food & beverage sector, including owner/operator
for 15 years of Theodore Zinck's in downtown Dallas; taught at Bond University in
Australia, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Del Mar College, as well as Hilton
College where he served as an assistant professor from 1980 to 1990 before becoming
dean in 2003; presented marketing courses and seminars around the world and published
more than 100 articles on marketing.
