  • Back to School Block Party

    Friday, July 26th we hosted our second annual Back to School Block Party! We were happy to continue our partnership with Boynton Chapel Methodist Church for an afternoon of snacks, giveaways and music. K-12 students* received free backpacks, school supplies, snacks and dental kits. Plus, started the school year in good health with vaccines** & $20 sports physicals. Free parking was available at the clinic, and our guests enjoyed an afternoon of fun for the whole family!

    Jolly Holiday Party

    The UH Health Family Care Center and Office of Government and Community Relations thanks all our guests, sponsors and participants who attended the Jolly Holiday Party. We gave away wrapped gifts to children ages 0 – 18 and holiday meals kits to families! Flu vaccines were available to children 18 years and younger, provided by our dedicated physicians and staff on site. We were delighted to host this party filled with music, fun and games for the whole family.

  • UH Health Family Care Center Hits Major Milestone: Community Clinic Achieves FQHC Look-Alike Designation

    The UH Health Family Care Center, an on-campus health clinic that provides affordable, comprehensive and integrated primary care and mental health services to the University of Houston and its surrounding communities, including Third Ward, East End, South Houston and neighboring areas, achieved a major milestone this week when it received its Federally Qualified Health Center, or FQHC, Look-Alike designation from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
