Full STEM Ahead! Camp
Summer 2025! Experience this science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) camp at University of Houston!

Students entering grades 6–8 in Fall 2025
The Full STEM Ahead! Camp offers junior scientists five fun-filled, themed days of hands-on activities involving environmental science, biology (including dissections), physics, technology, and much more. Whether your child is experienced with STEM or just starting to show an interest, this camp has everything kids need to build their STEM knowledge and have tons of fun!
All responses are based on current available information and are subject to change.
Where can I drop off and pick up my child?
Drop-off and pick-up will be at the University of Houston off Cullen Blvd. Specific details will be provided in the enrollment packet upon payment.
What do I do if I’m late dropping off and/or picking up my child?
A cell phone number was sent in the enrollment packet. Please call or text that number to notify camp directors.
Where will my child eat each day?
Students will walk to the UH Dining Hall for lunch.
Is my child allowed to bring their own lunch and/or snacks?
Parents may pack a lunch from home for their child. Please reach out to the camp directors via email to verify if there are any restrictions due to participant allergies.
What should my child bring each day?
Each participant should bring a bottle of water with their name on it each day.
What should my child wear each day?
Participants should wear comfortable tennis shoes, appropriate athletic wear, and sunblock. Students are welcome to bring a bottle of sunscreen to reapply as needed. Other recommended clothing items include a hat and a sweater. Be sure to include the child’s name on anything they bring from home.

Camp Dates
June 9–13, 2025, 9 AM – 2 PM
Genius Hours start at 8 AM and end at 3 PM for an additional fee.
Camp Registration Fees
- Prior to May 16: $400 per participant
- After May 16: $425 per participant
- UH Faculty and Staff: $325 per participant
- Genius Hours: $100 per participant
- NOTE: Fees cannot be refunded after May 16.
Scholarships are available by completing an application and providing documentation of free and reduced lunch status from the participant’s school. All scholarship applications will be reviewed in May.
Once you register your child for the camp, you will receive a link to make payment. Your child’s spot in the camp is not guaranteed until payment is received. If payment is not made within 14 days of receiving the link, your child’s spot may be forfeited.
