Dr. Nancy Beck Young, Chair of the UH Department of History, as well as the Associated Director of the UH Center for Public History, is featured in several of the episodes.
The first episode, "Trip 19," features a discussion of the tragic and mysterious 1940 plane crash, killing Minnesota Senator, Ernest Lundeen. One of the strange elements of this story was a scandal surrouding the working relationship between Lundeen and a senior, Nazi agent. The news of this partnership were coming to light only a couple of weeks prior to the plane crash, and it was clear that Lundeen feared for the worst.
