Collaborative on Aging Research and Multicultural Assessment (CARMA)
Dr. Luis D. Medina established the Collaborative on Aging Research and Multicultural Assessment (CARMA) in the Fall of 2018 in order to bring together researchers and trainees with a shared vision. At CARMA, we strive to foster a rich and collaborative learning environment for students and trainees interested in the intersection of culture and cognition, particularly in the context of aging. We emphasize the cultural neuroscience of cognitive aging; our research focuses primarily on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and cultural neuropsychology. We aim to train strong scientists and researchers motivated to extend and expand scientific knowledge in this area.
